Pilates is challenging, that’s what makes it so great. However, it’s suitable for every body with any level of fitness experience. The best part about Pilates is how tailored you can make it to YOUR body and it’s ability. Modifications can be provided for injuries and those who might be trying out Pilates for the first time.

Your first time should be special. SO. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have been doing Pilates forever, every exercise and movement can be adjusted and modified to suit your level. I got you.

Injured? Chronic condition? For the most part, Pilates is safe for everyone. Where possible I’ll work in communication with your physio or chiropractor (anyone who might be treating you) to ensure you get the most out of your sessions and rehabilitate injuries safely and manage any existing conditions. I take everything into consideration when it comes to programming and make sure that exercises are modified accordingly so we can work with any injuries or pre-existing conditions.

Every body is different, which means that every pregnant body is different too. That being said, pilates is a safe form of exercise formost women to do throughout their pregnancies. Always get the all clear from your GP if you’re concerned, but it’s a great way to stay strong and prepare your body for birth and whats to come after.

Can’t touch your toes? Doesn’t matter! Pilates will help with improving flexbility and mobility but it is absolutely not a prerequisite for you to be able to do the splits or fold in half to participate. You’d be surprised how many people think they need to be before trying Pilates. Not the case!
